Worm in chicken at KFC’s Thiruvananthapuram outlet

The Thiruvananthapuram outlet of the KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) Chicken Centre was closed down on Monday by Food Safety Inspectors who conducted raid there, after a family complained about the presence of live worm in the food served. As per reports, live worms were found in KFC chicken which was served in the Trivandrum outlet. Food Safety authorities raided the eatery and food samples were collected
It is learnt that chicken was brought to the Thiruvananthapuram outlet from Chennai. Stale meat as old as five months was also seized from the outlet. The food samples have been sent for inspection. The other outlets of KFC including those at Kochi and Kozhikode will be raided soon.
The KFC authorities also manhandled news reporters who arrived there to cover the news.
